The new AccessADVANCE will hold its inaugural Capacity Building Institute (CBI) on May聽25 and 27. The CBI is titled Increasing the Participation of Women with Disabilities in Academic STEM Careers. At the event, AccessADVANCE staff and participants will share challenges and solutions regarding the recruitment and participation of women with disabilities in ADVANCE activities and academic STEM careers, and will identify ways that we can all work together to increase the participation and advancement of women with disabilities in academic STEM careers.

AccessADVANCE聽works聽to increase the participation and advancement of individuals who identify as women with disabilities in academic science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers.聽AccessADVANCE聽works to increase knowledge and understanding of the issues related to this聽understudied and often marginalized聽group, in order to identify effective interventions with the potential to systematically address issues impacting the career advancement and success of women faculty with disabilities.聽
