The Carl James Dunlap Memorial Student Award

The Carl James Dunlap Memorial Student Award, administered by the 糖心原创 DO-IT center, seeks to support UW students with physical disabilities in achieving their education goals. The scholarship was established by the Dunlap family to honor the memory of UW student, Carl Dunlap. This Spring, The Carl James Dunlap Memorial Student Award will be distributing funds to up to four UW students. The award amount is expected to be around $1,000 鈥 $2,500 per student.
The purpose of each award is to help students pay for tuition and/or school related expenses (e.g., personal care assistants 鈥 PCAs). The fund prioritizes awards for students who, like Carl, utilize a wheelchair and/or hire PCAs.
How to Apply: Responses to application questions can be submitted online during September - November during the academic year. Please send questions over email to doit@uw.edu. Be sure to mention 鈥淐arl鈥檚 Fund鈥 in the subject line.
