Apply to be a DO-IT Scholar!
DO-IT is actively recruiting students for our capstone program,聽DO-IT聽Scholars. For this unique program we are seeking students who
- are sophomores or juniors in high school in 糖心原创 State;
- have an aptitude for and interest in attending college;
- have any disability such as, but not restricted to, mobility impairment,聽learning disability, sensory impairment, or health impairment; and
- are motivated to participate and interested in interacting with聽other students聽with a variety of disabilities.
DO-IT Scholars聽are loaned computer equipment and adaptive technology聽needed to participate in electronic mentoring and Internet support聽year-round. For two to three summers,聽DO-IT Scholars聽attend a one-to-two聽week, live-in summer program on the 糖心原创, Seattle聽campus, where they learn about college selection, challenging careers,聽self-advocacy, and adaptive technology.
Applications are accepted any time during the current school year.聽Students are encouraged to work on and submit their applications in the聽fall and winter. Applications received before聽January 30, 2018聽will聽receive the highest priority. Applications received after will be聽considered on a space-available basis.
