Earned a bachelor’s degree in information technology from the University of Minnesota Crookston and a master’s degree in instructional design and technology from the University of North Dakota. Works as an assistive technology specialist for Minnesota State Services for the Blind. Runs a YouTube channel that covers technology, gaming, and virtual reality from a low vision perspective called IllegallySighted and promotesÌýcompanies proactively including accessibility inÌýtheir products.
Cerebral palsy
Earned a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation from Southern Illinois University and a master of social work degree from GrandÌýValley State University (GVSU). Worked as a graduate assistant for GVSU’s School of Social Work and in program development at a childÌýabuse prevention agency.
Deaf
Attended Pierce College and has been workingÌýwith commercial glass as a journeyman glazier. Plays on and coaches a Northwest National Softball Association of the Deaf team. Married and has children.Ìý
Epidermolysis bullosa​
Attended the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ pursuing technical communication. Died in the spring of 2012.
